Based in: Menarini Benelux offices in Machelen (Bruxelles), Belgium

Reporting Structure:

Direct: General Manager Benelux
Functional: Compliance Officer France & Benelux

Role Purpose: To primarily support the implementation and maintenance of the Menarini Compliance Programme and a robust culture of compliance and ethical conduct across the Menarini Benelux affiliate.

This role will dedicate 50% of the time managing the Menarini Compliance Programme in the Menarini Benelux affiliate and the other 50% of the time supporting the Compliance Officer France & Benelux with compliance matters for the French affiliate. This role may involve occasional business travel.

What You'll Work On

The Compliance Specialist will support the following key areas of the compliance programme, with the support of the Compliance Officer France & Benelux.

Business Partnering & Governance

  • Advisory: Review materials/activities for regulatory compliance and address business queries.
  • Committee Management: Organize and chair the Benelux Compliance Committee and track program outcomes.
  • Third-Party Risk: Monitor business partner adherence to compliance contractual requirements.

Risk, Monitoring & Reporting

  • Risk Assessment: Gather data for local risk assessments and track mitigation measures.
  • Monitoring & CAPAs: Execute local monitoring, prepare reports, and manage Corrective and Preventive Actions.
  • Transparency: Compile compliance data for Global/Regional stakeholders and support local transparency reporting.

Implementation & Culture

  • Policy & Systems: Roll out Global/Local policies and support compliance system implementations.
  • Training: Oversight of employee training completion and development of compliance communications.
  • Ethics: Foster a "speak-up" culture and promote whistleblowing awareness.

Your Profile

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: University degree (Law, Business, or Life Sciences preferred).
  • Experience: 2+ years in compliance, legal, or audit—ideally within the Belgian/French life sciences sector.
  • Knowledge: Foundational understanding of pharmaceutical laws and industry codes is a strong plus.
  • Languages: Fluency in French, Dutch, and English is essential.
